Overview
When The Macula Clinic expanded to Kingston and Orangeville, they needed more than just medical equipment—they required a technology backbone that could support specialized care across every aspect of their operations. We began by designing a secure, high-performance network infrastructure that could scale with them. Firewalls, managed switches, and site-to-site VPNs were deployed to unify the clinics, with VLANs isolating sensitive systems like EMRs, diagnostics, and Wi-Fi access. This foundational work ensured that every device and every interaction—clinical or administrative—ran smoothly and securely.
To enhance team communication and patient service, we outfitted both locations with fully integrated boardrooms, featuring wall-mounted displays, ceiling mics, and plug-and-play Zoom setups for seamless collaboration. We also rolled out a cloud-based VOIP phone system with direct extensions, voicemail-to-email, and centralized call handling—bringing professionalism and reliability to every call. Meanwhile, we secured each site with HD security cameras, motion alerts, and RFID-controlled access doors, giving staff peace of mind and full control over who enters clinical zones.
Our involvement didn’t end at installation. We continue to provide ongoing IT support and cybersecurity monitoring, including real-time alerts, remote troubleshooting, and scheduled audits to meet healthcare compliance standards. As The Macula Clinic grows, their technology scales with them—reliable, secure, and always supported.
